Using curriculum developed from Dr. Brene’ Brown, this 90 minute class will be highly interactive. Participants will view a short video each week on a specific topic. Topics include letting go of exhaustion as a status symbol of self-worth, moving out of perfectionism, cultivating creativity, managing anxiety and learning to be authentic.
Participants will spend some time discussing the topic of the week, then completing a creative art journal project.
Who: Adolescents, ages 13-18
When: Thursdays, 2/11 – 3/10, from 4:00-5:30
Location: Friendswood High School
Cost: $75 for all five sessions
Participants are encouraged to purchase a journal that will be used for creative projects (one that lies open and flat will be easiest) and The Gifts of Imperfection by Dr. Brene’ Brown.
